The Finance Executive (General Ledger) will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records of the hotel, focusing on general ledger entries, reconciliations, and reporting. This role supports the Finance Manager and Chief Accountant in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
As part of the pre-opening team, the Finance Executive will also assist in setting up accounting systems, chart of accounts, and internal financial procedures to ensure smooth operations post-opening.
Key Responsibilities
- Record, post, and reconcile general ledger transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining accounting systems and controls.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors by providing necessary schedules and documentation.
- Work closely with other Finance team members to support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cost Control functions when needed.
- Participate in pre-opening activities including system setup, policies, and staff training.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Proficient in MS Excel and other financial tools.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong integrity, work ethics, and team collaboration skills.
