Job Title: Finance Assistant Manager

Reports to: Finance Manager / Finance Director
Job Purpose:
To support the Finance Manager in overseeing the daily financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, and providing timely and accurate financial reporting to aid strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Analyze financial data and provide variance explanations and recommendations.
- Monitor company budgets and forecasts.
- Accounting Operations
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger.
- Review journal entries and ensure accurate bookkeeping.
- Ensure timely closing of monthly and yearly accounts.
- Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and tax laws.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for audits and statutory filings.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor daily cash flow and forecast future cash requirements.
- Assist in managing banking relationships and facilities.
- Ensure proper fund allocation for operational and capital expenditures.
- Process Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and internal controls.
- Assist in ERP/accounting system improvements or upgrades.
- Team Support & Supervision
- Supervise and guide junior finance/accounting staff.
- Support staff training and development in financial procedures and software.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting / Finance or professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Minimum 3–5 years of working experience in accounting or finance, including 1–2 years in supervisory role.
- Familiar with accounting software (e.g. SQL, AutoCount, SAP) and strong in Excel.
- Knowledge of Malaysian statutory requirements (SST, KWSP, LHDN, etc.).
- Strong analytical, leadership and communication skills.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, SAP, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
