Role: Equipment Engineer (Mold - Assembly))

As an Equipment Engineer specializing in Molding, you will play a key role in sustaining, improving, and innovating molding equipment and processes in our semiconductor assembly operations. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high equipment uptime, process stability, and continuous improvement to support manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
Responsibilities include:
- Support manufacturing operations
- Provide first level engineering support for mold equipment issues and continuously involved in engineering projects such as cost reduction, second sourcing, tool stability improvement and tool qualification.
- Monitor and sustain daily equipment performance by continuously reviewing equipment data log, errors, develop necessary predictive & preventive maintenance procedures, OCAPs & etc to ensure equipment are always fit for production.
- Establish spare, PM and consumable part in inventory system to ensure zero downtime related with parts shortage.
- Develop and implement improved methods of manufacturing, procedures, and processes that result in improved efficiencies, yields, machine operations, and quality.

- Document mold maintenance & process details in specification(s) and work instructions
- Oversee and improve tool stability matrix such as MTBA and MTBF.
- Perform mold and process troubleshooting.
- Prepare necessary report and attend required meetings with internal or external person / group related with the area in charge.
- Participate in data analysis and problem resolution
- Some level of experience in hands on TOWA, ASAHI, YAMADA, ASAA & BOSCHMAN mold maintenance and tooling setup will be a plus
Role: Equipment Engineer (Wire Bond - Assembly)
Department: Assembly Engineering (TMG A/T)
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Equipment Engineer specializing in wire bonding operations in our semiconductor assembly line. You will be responsible for sustaining daily equipment performance, executing improvement projects, and ensuring process stability and product quality through close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Maintain and improve wire bond equipment performance to achieve production targets (e.g., OEE, MTBA, yield).
- Perform equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Lead and support the installation, qualification, and ramp-up of new wire bond tools (e.g., K&S, ASM, Palomar).
- Execute continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment capability, automation, cost, and reliability.
- Work with process engineers to ensure bonding quality and process robustness across different package types.
- Drive preventive maintenance programs and ensure proper spare part management.
- Ensure equipment compliance to safety, ESD, and cleanliness standards.
- Support yield improvement, cost reduction and other projects.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic, or a related engineering field
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3/4.0, or higher
- Fresh graduates with strong academic records are encouraged to apply
- Candidate with experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment, especially in wire bond or mold equipment is preferable
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of AMAT PVD and/or AMAT TxZ chambers equipment
- Knowledge of PVD, CVD, high vacuum and/or ultra high vacuum
- Knowledge of other equipment (e.g., AMAT, Veeco, TEL, Novellus, and/or ASM)
- Understanding of tool monitoring and interdiction software, and equipment maintenance and documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
- Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
