We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Failure Analysis (FA) Engineer to join our semiconductor manufacturing team. The FA Engineer will be responsible for identifying the root causes of product failures using a variety of electrical, mechanical, and chemical analysis techniques. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with failure analysis tools and a deep understanding of semiconductor device physics and fabrication Assembly and Test processes. Position provides the opportunity for interacting with Field Quality and Product Quality Engineering, Labs and Factories.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform failure analysis on semiconductor devices (wafer-level and package-level) returned from production, reliability assessment and customer returns.
- Perform bench level electrical verification/fault isolation on integrated circuits to determine root cause of failure
- Must become proficient in a variety of failure analysis techniques and equipment operation like SEM, EDX, X-ray, SAM, Cross section, etc.
- Interpret results and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Process, QRA, Packaging, CQE) to identify root cause of failure.
- Generate detailed Failure Analysis reports with accurate documentation and analysis conclusions.
- Support reliability engineering and yield improvement efforts through proactive analysis and feedback.
- Working in a team environment and provide consultation/recommendations for process improvements and corrective actions.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and support audits.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Material Science, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering
- Fresh graduates with strong academic records and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are highly encouraged to apply
- Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in failure analysis are preferred
