Draftsman M&E

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for Mechanical systems (e.g., HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection) and Electrical systems (e.g., Power, Lighting, Low Current, ELV) using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other designated software.
• Collaborate with M&E engineers to understand project requirements, design intent, and technical specifications.
• Prepare and modify schematic diagrams, layout drawings, detailed fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Ensure all drawings are produced in accordance with company standards, project requirements, and relevant industry codes and regulations.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other trades to identify and resolve clashes using BIM clash detection tools.
• Assist in the preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and material schedules by extracting data from models.
• Review and redline drawings based on feedback from engineers, clients, and on-site teams.
• Maintain organized project drawing files and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay updated with the latest drafting standards, software updates, and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

• Certificate, Diploma or Associate’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
• Experience as a Draftsman, specifically within the M&E field. Fresh grad also welcome to apply.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
• Experience with Revit MEP for BIM modeling is highly essential.
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, components, and terminology.
• Knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations related to M&E works.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with engineers and other project stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM3,300.00 per month
