Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Lead to drive the design, implementation, and management of our cloud and on-premises infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across mission-critical oil & gas applications. The DevOps Lead will play a key role in digital transformation, overseeing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and system monitoring to support exploration, production, and enterprise systems. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- DevOps Strategy & Leadership
- Define and implement the company’s DevOps roadmap aligned with digital transformation initiatives in the oil & gas sector.
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance on best practices and emerging technologies.
- Partner with application, operations, and cybersecurity teams to ensure efficient software delivery and infrastructure management.
- Infrastructure & Automation
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure (cloud and hybrid environments).
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Automate deployment pipelines for business-critical oilfield and enterprise applications.
- Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD)
- Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines for application development teams.
- Optimize build, release, and deployment processes to accelerate time-to-market.
- Monitoring, Security & Compliance
- Implement proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability of production systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 27001, NIST, and oil & gas regulations).
- Work closely with cybersecurity teams to safeguard IT/OT environments.
- Collaboration & Support
- Partner with upstream, midstream, and downstream digital teams to deliver reliable solutions for drilling, production monitoring, and enterprise operations.
- Provide technical expertise during system outages, incident response, and disaster recovery.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for DevOps tools, platforms, and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8+ years of IT experience, with at least 3+ years in a DevOps leadership role.
- Strong hands-on expertise with:
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid environments).
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).
- Monitoring tools (Prometheus, ELK, Grafana, Datadog).
- Proven experience supporting oil & gas applications (e.g., production optimization, ERP, field data systems) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of IT/OT integration, cybersecurity practices, and data governance.

Pay: RM5,016.88 - RM13,825.10 per month
