Examas Jaya is a leading foodservice equipment supplier and service provider, dedicated to delivering innovative kitchen solutions and top-quality after-sales service with the network all around Malaysia. We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Executive with professional chef experience to bridge culinary expertise and business growth, and who is eager to expand their horizons in the F&B and HORECA industries, working in a multicultural environment with renowned international brands.
What You'll Do:
- Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities in the foodservice equipment sector.
- Use culinary knowledge to understand customer kitchen operations and recommend suitable foodservice equipment solutions.
- Conduct live cooking demonstrations, equipment training, and menu application support for clients.
- Assist customers (restaurants, cafes, hotels, QSRs, cloud kitchens) in optimizing kitchen workflow and efficiency.
- Provide feedback on product performance and assist in new product launches from a chef’s perspective.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by offering value-added culinary insights.
- Work closely with the sales and service team to develop tailored solutions for customers.
- Keep updated with foodservice industry trends, kitchen workflows, and emerging equipment technologies.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and business reports to support sales growth.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall business development strategies.
- Support marketing initiatives such as trade shows, culinary workshops, and product demonstrations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
- Minimum1-2 years of professional experience as a Chef (hotel, restaurant, or foodservice industry).
- Strong interest in commercial kitchen equipment and foodservice operations.
- Good communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage both culinary and business stakeholders.
- Customer-oriented, passionate about food innovation, and eager to share culinary expertise.
- Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of CRM tools is an advantage.
- Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia or English (spoken and written).
- Possess own transport and willing to travel.
- A life-long learner who is energetic with positive can-do attitude
