Communications Executive
Job Description:
Responsible for managing and executing branding activities and upholding corporate identity in line with the organization’s communication policies and strategies. This includes coordinating the Corporate Identity Manual, managing the official website, producing printed publications, developing corporate videos, and implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.
The role aims to develop and implement strategic communication initiatives to enhance and strengthen the organization's image, reputation, and stakeholder relationships. It requires strong skills in planning, writing, social media management, and digital content creation to effectively deliver key messages to both internal and external audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Identity Manual Management
- Ensure adherence to the Corporate Identity Manual guidelines in all official communication materials.
- Provide technical advice on the use of corporate identity elements (logos, official colors, fonts, etc.) to all departments/units.
- Review and validate the use of official visual materials by internal teams and strategic partners.
- Periodically review or prepare an updated Corporate Identity Manual as needed.
Official Website Maintenance
- Coordinate the content of the department’s official website, including corporate information, announcements, and public feedback, in collaboration with the Information Management Unit.
- Ensure the website is consistently updated, user-friendly, and complies with government standards, including WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).
Publication of Communication Materials
- Plan and coordinate the preparation of publications such as the annual report, department bulletins, brochures, leaflets, and organizational profiles.
- Edit content and ensure design aligns with the organization’s image.
- Oversee the printing and distribution process for both internal and external use.
Corporate Video Production
- Coordinate the production process including scriptwriting, recording, editing, and subtitling.
- Work with multimedia service providers to produce high-quality videos that align with the department’s corporate image.
- Manage the storage, archiving, and distribution of corporate videos via the organization’s digital channels.
Implementation of CSR Programs
- Plan and implement CSR initiatives that positively impact the community and align with government policies.
- Prepare reports and documentation of CSR activities for management reporting and impact verification.
- Coordinate with strategic partners, government agencies, NGOs, or local communities to ensure successful implementation of programs.
Required Competencies:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Corporate Management, Public Relations, or a related field recognized by the government.
- Proficient in preparing official communication materials, graphic design, and multimedia content.
- Knowledgeable in public sector communication guidelines, government communication policies, and branding principles.
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills in both Malay and English.
- Ability to work in teams, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Malaysian citizen
- Aged between 18 and 35 years at the closing date of the job advertisement
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree with Honors in Communication, Mass Media, or other related fields recognized by the government from a local institution of higher learning or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Achieved at least a Grade B in Bahasa Malaysia at the SPM/SVM level or an equivalent qualification recognized by the government.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in strategic communication.
- Skilled in using applications for creating posters and graphics.
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Strong writing and editing skills in both languages.
- Analytical, strategic, and creative thinking skills with a strong awareness of current issues.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage communication crises effectively.
- A good working relationship with media and relevant agencies is an added advantage.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
