JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum qualification: Diploma/Certificate in culinary/baking or equivalent to SPM
- Minimum 1 to 2 years working experience in bakery section.
- Critical thinking and knowledgeable in doing task.
- Without knowledge in bakery is also welcome to apply.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist bakery kitchen staff in preparing food according to requirements from the bread, baking, pastry, hot deli and packing sections.
- Carry out mise-en-place required in the preparation of the daily baking items.
- Check daily requisitions for supplies needed for approval by Demi Chef or Chef in charge.
- Always keep equipment cleaned and of high standard working condition.
- Carry out instructions given by Section Head for daily and weekly duties to support the tasks of the different Sections in the baking kitchen.
- Complete deadlines for baking items and mise-en-place as required in the different Sections.
- Check daily requisitions for supplies of items and ingredients delivered to Section request.
- Monitor proper cooking, thawing and storage temperatures for all raw and cooked food in the Section.
- Ensure standard operating procedures complied in the handling of food safety, health and safety of the workplace.
- Possess positive attitude towards teamwork, punctuality, co-operative with colleagues and able to work on shifts.
