In this role, you will develop and utilise technical expertise in programming languages, primarily Cobol for financial institution.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and test for new and enhancement programming projects while delivering assignments
- Analyze functional requirements to determine technical design and create technical specifications
- Incorporate performance and audit considerations in delivered applications and development
- Work with peers for development, enhancement and level 2 support
- Address production support issues
- Work closely with vendors for L3 escalation
- Work closely with Project Managers, technical, and business support team following appropriate structured software development and project management controls
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cobol/AS400/Life 400
- Experience in SDLC
- Readiness for on call support after office hours
- Insurance/financial domain is a plus
