Assistant Manager, Trainees Management

Position Summary
To lead and manage the Trainees Management team, including On-the-Job Training, Record & Compliance, and Student Affairs functions. This role ensures effective coordination, monitoring, and support of trainee development, compliance with training standards, and smooth administration to facilitate successful program completion and continuous improvement within MABES Engineering Training.
Key Accountability
- Lead, guide, and coordinate the Trainees Management team to ensure efficient execution of On-the-Job Training, records management, compliance, and student support activities.
- Oversee the tracking and reporting of trainee performance, attendance, and progress to ensure timely completion of training programs in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Ensure all trainee records, training documentation, and compliance requirements are accurately maintained and meet regulatory and internal audit standards.
- Identify opportunities to enhance trainee management processes, including OJT coordination, record keeping, and student welfare, to improve overall training effectiveness and trainee experience.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to address trainee needs, resolve issues, and support the delivery of quality training programs aligned with MABES Engineering Training objectives.
Qualification & Working Experience
- Minimum Degree Holder in engineering or related technical field and/or License Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Holder
- Minimum 4 years of experience in training management, talent development, or related fields within the aviation or technical training industry.
- Minimum 2 years of familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards related to vocational training, preferably involving JPK, CAAM, or equivalent authorities.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong leadership and team management skills to effectively supervise and motivate diverse teams.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as JPK, CAAM, or other relevant aviation/technical training authorities.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in documentation and compliance adherence.
Key Challenges
- Coordinating timely and accurate communication across multiple teams and departments to maintain smooth trainee progress and records.
- Balancing the diverse needs of trainees while ensuring compliance with regulatory training standards and organizational policies.
- Ensuring high-quality documentation and data accuracy to meet stringent audit and compliance requirements.
