We are looking for a dynamic and driven AM - Sales & Business Development to grow Yamaha Pro Audio product sales and market presence in Malaysia. In this role, you’ll focus on B2B installation markets—delivering tailored Yamaha Pro Audio solutions to entertainment venues, AV contractors, corporate clients, houses of worship, government agencies, and more. You’ll work closely with partners and internal teams to develop strategies, generate leads, support customers, and grow market share.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Achieve Sales Targets
- Drive and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals for Yamaha Pro Audio within Entertainment PA and Installation B2B segments.
- Contribute to Division revenue goals through proactive lead generation, opportunity conversion, and closing key deals.
- Support marketing campaigns, live product demos, and exhibitions to create brand awareness and drive interest.
- Track and analyze KPIs; take corrective action to meet sales targets.
2. Business Development in Target Segments
- Explore new business opportunities in key markets: entertainment, broadcast, rental, education, corporate AV, HoW, and government sectors.
- Build strong relationships with venue owners, consultants, AV contractors, and end-users.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline through prospecting, client visits, and solution-oriented discussions.
- Conduct market research and needs assessments to uncover new business potential.
3. Channel & Partner Management
- Maintain relationships with dealers, system integrators, rental companies, and Yamaha key partners.
- Conduct joint visits, training sessions, and post-sales support to strengthen channel performance.
4. Project Support & Solution-Based Selling
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to support project design, solution presentations, quotations, and tender proposals.
- Ensure Yamaha Audio solutions are specified in key projects by working closely with consultants, engineers, and decision-makers.
5. Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, customer feedback summaries, and project updates.
- Coordinate with internal teams for customer support, logistics, and account receivables follow-up.
JOB REQUIREMENT
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales experience with a solution-selling approach, professional audio, AV integration, or a similar industry.
- Familiarity with Yamaha Pro Audio products is a strong advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and customer engagement capabilities.
- Proven experience in solution-based sales, project sales, or technical sales - preferably in the Entertainment, Installation, Broadcast, HoW, Education, or Corporate AV sectors.
- 5 working days per week.
- 12 months’ contract position with the potential to convert to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
