Admin/Operations Officer - Terminal Services (KLIA - Station Master)

Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

• To assist Terminal Experience Executive (Station Master) monitoring the busing operation in CP & Satellite airside and to ensure the smoothness of bus operations at KLIA bus stations.
• Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of buses and smooth passengers movement.
• Responsible for ensuring manageable control over the management of passenger flow. With a specific focus on smooth passenger movement, the officer will facilitate the efficient boarding and disembarkation processes, minimizing delays, ensuring a positive passenger experience and provide a smoother transition for passengers moving to and from the terminal.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Ensure the agreed total number of buses is available at all times.
• Inspect and ensure all buses are in good condition and comply with safety, requirements and regulations.
• Ensure a sufficient number of bus drivers, supervisors, and marshallers at all times.
• Ensure driver and bus rotation did not impact the bus operations.
• Provide support to Station Master.
• Coordinate and monitor drivers' rest time and bus refueling schedule.
• Ensure communication Station Master in managing passenger flow at any pickup station.
• Ensure the activation of kanban system for arrival bussing lounge during peak and half-peak period.
• Ensure the availability number of buses per trip during peak, half-peak, and off-peak period.
• Ensure the max capacity of passengers per bus throughput per trip during peak, half-peak, and off-peak period.

Key Challenges

• Well verse of busing operations and terminal and airside compliances.
• Ensure the services provided are exceeding passenger expectation.

Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Additional language is preferable (Mandarin, Tamil, Arabic).
• Computer literate.
• Required skills: knowledge of radiotelephony communication, supervisory, and terminal operations.
• Energetic & self-motivated.
• Willingness to perform a variety of jobs as requested.
• Takes initiative and can start/complete tasks with basic direction.
• Ability to learn & follow instructions.

Education

• Diploma in Aviation Management or Diploma in Management
