Job Description
- Develop and execute buying strategies designed to meet or exceed sales, margin and inventory turnover goals
- Manage all aspects of the merchandise offering including product selection, vendor negotiations, promotional planning, store placement and distribution.
- Manage given category to ensure stocks availability at healthy level and sales achievement
- Collaborate with marketing team to design any marketing and promotional plans that maximize incremental sales. Ensure accuracy of promotional information including pricing and inventory turnover goals
- Establish collaborative relationship with the supply chain team to ensure the proper balance and availability of merchandise.
- Frequent store visits, as well as other comparative retail stores, on a regular basis to identify new trends and opportunities, evaluate merchandise mix, evaluate competition, and translate findings into executable product plans
- Handling administrative work given from time to time eg new product listing, cost/price change and inventory management
- Able to communicate and work with suppliers on any new stores setup on time and stocks management
Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience / training.
- Preferred Experience: 2 or more years of related experience (Beauty - Skin Care/Cosmetic)
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Strong merchandising, product, trend and analytical skills
- Strategic thinker, have an eye in detail, good commercial sense and analytical skills.
- Team player, positive attitude, able to multi task and also work on ad-hoc requests.
