Job Description
Summary of the Role:
As a Test Equipment Maintenance Technician (Technician 4), you will be responsible for coordinating shift-based task assignments and supporting the operational efficiency of test equipment. Key responsibilities include monitoring and troubleshooting equipment, tracking KPIV/KPOV metrics, performing equipment setup and maintenance, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards and safety protocols.
Job Responsibilities and Role Accountabilities:
- Coordinate shift-based task assignments for UPM Technicians.
- Monitor and report on test equipment activities, including troubleshooting, upgrades, and audits.
- Test equipment (Test cell, Tester, Bagger, VDCS, Conveyor) setup and down troubleshooting.
- Track test equipment KPIV/KPOV metrics via KPOV database, OEE, maintenance logs, and the digital PM system.
- Conduct buyoff for conversion items prior to production release.
- Compile and report monthly performance ratings for UPM technicians.
- Act as an upskilling trainer for UPM technicians.
- Perform equipment checklists in accordance with established procedures.
- Support engineers in daily operations and special projects.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and cleanroom protocols.
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field of study.
- Atleast 5 years of technical experience in the test equipment function or a relevant field.
- Industry exposure in Electronics, Semiconduction Manufacturing setup is highly preferred.
Skills and Competency Requirements:
- Equipment Troubleshooting – Diagnosing and resolving issues in Test cells, Testers, Baggers, VDCS, and Conveyors.
- Test Equipment Setup and Maintenance – Hands-on setup, teardown, and upkeep of complex machinery.
- Data Analysis & Reporting – Tracking KPIV/KPOV metrics using tools like OEE, maintenance logs, and digital PM systems.
- Audit & Buyoff Execution – Conducting equipment audits and pre-production buyoffs to ensure readiness.
- Knowledge of ISO Standards – Familiarity with quality and compliance standards in manufacturing.
- Preventive Maintenance – Performing and managing routine checks via digital systems.
Other Skills Requirements:
- Task Coordination – Assigning and managing shift-based work for UPM Technicians.
- Work Documentation – Completing equipment checklists and compiling technician performance reports.
- Production Support – Assisting engineers with daily tasks and special projects.
- Cleanroom Protocols – Adhering to strict environmental and cleanliness standards.
- Safety Awareness – Following all safety regulations during equipment operation and technician management.
