Responsibilities:
- Supervise project EHS implementation and compliance
- Assist and advice project manager and construction team in all EHS matters & related regulatory matters on compliance to ensure their statutory duties, particularly in the area of identification of workplace safety and health and environmental risks and in recommending and implementation of the necessary control measures are being carried out.
- Assist Project Manager in ensuring implementation of EHS Plans, policies & procedures by the contractor with the principal objective of establishing an EHS mindset at the project site with guided Corporate EHS strategies
- Review & implement EHS Management system, work conditions and practices, identifying EHS related risks and optimize work processes / equipment utilization to minimize risk.
- Review and/or prepare relevant project EHS documentations but not limited Project HSE Plan, Method of Statement and Risk Assessment
- Notify and investigate any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational diseases, poisoning and near miss incidents or health and environment related complaints and establish the incident investigation report for submission within the required period & follow up on corrective actions taken to prevent recurrence of accidents/ incidents.
- Communicate findings, concerns, and deficiencies to the responsible managers to resolve timely all necessary corrections. Assist in the development and implementation of strategic solutions that will support management's efforts to improve and maintain compliance as required.
- Monitoring & supports project administration, e.g. monthly EHS statistics, audits & KPIs for the measurement of the organization’s EHS performance.
- Assist to Identify and maintain regular stakeholder engagement plans, detailing channel, frequency, and records for each stakeholder group.
- Promote HSE awareness and best practices among Company employees, appointed contractors and vendors by conducting training, briefing and program.
- Develop and conduct regular safety assurance and programs including safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and implement necessary remedial measures.
- Responsible to interface and address HSE related issues with employees, contractors, customers, vendors, and government agencies
- Develop and conduct HSE briefings, trainings, inductions to employee and contractors
- To disseminate information of the latest development on HSE aspects
- Data consolidation for monthly reports
- Support other assigned tasks when require
Requirements:
- Diploma / Degree in Health, Safety and Environment or equivalent
- DOSH Registered Site Safety Supervisor (Mandatory)
- Minimum 3 – 4 years onsite working experience
- Experienced in establishing and reviewing HSE documentations
- Able and confident to communicate in English
- Able to lead and conduct meetings, trainings and programs
- Possess own transportation
- Able to travel domestic and international when required
- International company experience preferred
