Job Summary
Responsible in providing technical support, quotation, underwriting and complying with company/group guidelines
Key Responsibilities
Technical Underwriting
- To assist the Corporate Business Department (“CBD“) Technical team to assess and underwrite new offers mainly for Property and Engineering Lines of Business (“LoB“).
- To underwrite and review all property renewals and new businesses using the rating tools provided by Allianz and to monitor rate adequacy and rate change across the operational accounts.
- To calculate retention and accumulation of risk based on the Company’s capacity and underwriting authority grid.
- To work closely with the Supervisor(s) on all referrals. To undertake all necessary preparatory work as guided and directed.
- To assist the technical team to provide quotations and technical support to marketers on other classes / LoB as and when required.
Portfolio Management
To assist the Supervisor(s) in all initiatives to improve the profitability of the Property and Engineering portfolio.
Account Management and Other Duties
- To liaise / visit agent / broker / client together with the marketers on renewals / technical matters/ enquiries as and when deemed necessary.
- To manage the e-filing system and to ensure that the policy documents are kept systematically.
- To obtain the necessary approval(s) in accordance with the Company / group guidelines.
- Any other duties as and when required by the corporate business department.
Key Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor ‘s Degree, Professional Degree in any discipline
- At least 2 years of working experience in similar role
- Experience in Property and Engineering Underwriting
- Result-driven, able to achieve the target assigned, and able to work independently
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and maintain relationships with intermediaries, and an effective team player.
- Well verse in both verbal and written communication skill
- Familiar with the use of ChatGPT for process simplification
