The restaurant host/ hostess is the first colleague to interact with arriving guests as they enter the restaurant. He/ she should ensure to provide proficient and professional Food & Beverage service to the guests by meeting and also exceeding their expectations. Welcome the guests by greeting them as per the standards and respond to customer queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner to ensure customer satisfaction. He/ she will assist in sitting guests and provide occasional assistance to guests on menu items.
- Have full knowledge of all menus being offered in the restaurant
- Have full knowledge of restaurant seating/ table plan
- To be able to make menu suggestions and to practice acquired up selling skills to guests
- To be able to build up a good rapport with all guests
- To be able to use the cashiering system in the Restaurant
- Assist station supervisor in welcoming and greeting guests in assigned station
- Assist supervisor in taking food and beverage orders from guests
- Assist in key in food and beverage orders into micros system
- Pre-set table and station as according to the guests’ order
- Deliver food and beverage orders according to sequence of service and standards set
- Assist station supervisor in up sell of food and beverages
- Refill hot and cold beverages, maintain each and individual table at any times, remove solid plates, replace cutlery, provide napkin and ashtray service
- Prepare hot and cold beverages in the bar
- Keep bar area organized and cleaned and sanitize at any
- Follow instructions given by the Assistant Restaurant Managers, Restaurant Manager, Food and Beverage Manager, Director of Food and Beverage, and perform any other reasonable duties as required by the division head from time to time
