Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage cost planning, estimation, and contract administration for interior renovation projects. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are completed within budget while maintaining high quality and adherence to healthcare standards. Candidates must hold relevant qualifications from a recognized Singapore institution or possess a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for healthcare fit-out projects.
- Tender Preparation: Prepare and review tender documents, bills of quantities (BOQ), and specifications for contractors.
- Procurement: Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure cost-effective contracts.
- Cost Control: Monitor project costs, track variations, and ensure expenditures align with the approved budget.
- Valuation of Work: Conduct valuations for completed work and prepare progress claims, invoices, and payment certificates.
- Contract Administration: Manage contracts, including drafting agreements, reviewing terms, and resolving disputes.
- Variation Management: Assess, negotiate, and document variations and changes in project scope.
- Final Accounts: Prepare and settle final accounts for projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
- Reporting: Provide cost analysis and regular progress updates to project managers and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field from a recognized institution or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in interior fit-out projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cost estimation software, Microsoft Office, and project management tools.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with interior works like wetworks, carpentry and electrical.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to collaborate with clients, contractors, and project teams.
- Analytical Ability: Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills with a keen eye for detail.
