Job Description:
Job Purpose:
Maintain a detailed understanding of supply and demand dynamics to be able to allow effective management of the spend category
Lead all aspects of the collation and analysis of supplier data and to use this to identify and handle risks and opportunities for business advantage
Deliver procurement projects to realise planned savings, maintain quality and continuity of supply and minimise business risk; reporting procurement outcomes as the need arises / where appropriate, to be responsible for the actions of direct reports in doing the same
As appropriate, to work closely with the procurement Hubs / Sectors to support and enable regional delivery of globally defined category strategies
Undertake procurement / sourcing activity in a compliant manner in accordance with corporate policies and processes, defined governance and delegations of authority
Key Accountabilities
Assist procurement categories with the management of supplier pricing and material data updates and vendor master approvals. Implement continuous improvement to the process whenever possible. This includes coordinating PLM / JDE data updates
Support procurement categories and closely work with GSC to ensure supply resilience and monitor supplier critical metrics tracking, and monitor raw material project breakthrough and progress
Support, validate, and report the regional delivery in cost savings and cash delivery working closely with both regional and global finance. Support the identification of major region owned cost and cash projects and ensure they are loaded into Salesforce
Provide procurement input and cost information for new and existing products or services. Also provide cost support to network ops and the OEM bid team
Support GSC and finance teams in the development of gap analysis and compliance projects related to P2P. Report and analyze P2P metrics to ensure smooth operations, continuous improvement, and early partner concern of issues. Monitor and support GBS Accounts Payable activities to ensure accurate payment terms deployment and timely invoice payments
Various project support and data requests – from variance analysis, spend summaries, data validation, and scenario analysis. This may also include leading or supporting sourcing activities and event
Develop reports, MI, analysis, report procurement KPI’s and develop raw material market insights that will help to address adverse trends and improve procurement performance
Education, Experience and Job Requirements
Degree or equivalent experience
CIPS or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
Experience in Supply Chain and Business Management
Related technical knowledge pertaining to the sourcing
Ability to speak English and Mandarin as well as in Japanese and/or Korean are favourable
Ability to review supplier capability audits and present findings
