Position Summary
Responsible for planning and preparing aircraft maintenance checks by ensuring the timely readiness of the Aircraft Check Package, including printing and collecting all required Task Cards and documentation. This role involves reviewing the full work scope, coordinating with Engineering, Stores, and Production teams to secure necessary tools, materials, and manpower, and monitoring the progress of checks to ensure adherence to the planned schedule.
Key Accountability
- Assist the Assistant Manager – Production Planning and Control in reviewing and preparing Aircraft Line Check Packages prior to aircraft input.
- Prepare and ensure readiness of the Aircraft Check Package, including printing and collecting Task Cards.
- Responsible for Work Package sequencing, availability of spares and tooling, and producing check timelines for Base Checks.
- Ensure all Tech Log entries are raised in AMOS Work Orders.
- Establish and maintain communication with MOC, Base Check Foreman, or Duty Manager/Engineer during aircraft input, and assist in producing recovery plans when required.
- Maintain and update check progress, including progress reports, check timelines, accomplished check cards, and major events.
- Liaise with supporting sections such as support workshop, materials procurement, logistics, technical services, support services, and external service providers.
- Ensure diligent man-hour capturing for tasks and proper recording of additional work to support accurate and timely data entry.
- Recommend and implement quality and productivity improvements to work processes.
- Collect post-check data on man-hours, late task additions, and task deassignments for analysis.
Qualification & Working Experience
- Minimum a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent
- Experience of more than 2 years in an Aircraft Maintenance Environment
- Preferably to have experience in project management and knowledge of airworthiness requirements for aircraft documentation
Areas of Experience
- Proficiency in AMOS or equivalent maintenance planning systems.
