Job Requirement:
- Financial Operations: Perform entry of financial records for bills, petty cash transactions, disbursements, and receipts; carry out bank reconciliation tasks; and oversee outgoing payments to suppliers.
- Administrative Coordination: Assist the estate manager with day-to-day office functions, maintain orderly filing of key records, and handle renewals for permits, licenses, and documentation for foreign employees.
- Compliance & Reporting: Organize and forward accounting records to the head office, lodge statutory submissions, and prepare various reports, letters, and other correspondence.
- Staff Supervision: Lead and coordinate the estate’s administrative team, showcasing strong leadership in a cooperative work setting.
Candidate Profile:
- Accounting Qualifications: Holder of LCCI or an Accounting Diploma, with 2–3 years of prior experience as a Chief Clerk in plantation administration and accounts management.
- Bilingual Skills: Proficient in both written and spoken Malay and English, capable of engaging effectively with different stakeholders in the agricultural industry.
- IT Competence: Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with plantation management software is a plus for operational efficiency.
- Self-Directed: Capable of independent work, managing multiple priorities, and performing under tight deadlines with minimal oversight in a dynamic plantation setting.
- Effective Communicator: Strong interpersonal and supervisory abilities to guide team members and interact with both internal colleagues and external partners.
- Attention to Detail: Highly accurate, reliable, and accountable in handling both financial and administrative duties.
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years in plantation-related reporting.
- Immediate Availability: Ready to begin work right away is an added advantage.
- Work Location: Position based in Pagoh; applicants must be prepared to work on-site.
