Role Purpose
Plan, coordinate, organize and manage overall activities of Special and premium product cargo handling (Animal Hotel, Perishable, Express handling) in KLIA to achieve agreed SLA for MH and Customer Airline and in compliance with company policy, regulatory bodies, and customer requirement.
Key Accountability
- Plan, execute and monitor the KPI for daily Special cargo handling activity to achieve operational excellence.
- Drive and monitor non fraudulent mechanisms are adhered to and all standard operating procedures are updated in line with regulatory requirements as well as ensure investigations are conducted and completed for onward actions.
- Plan, monitor the KPI for daily Special Product Cargo Handling Unit activity, maintain deliverables for MH and Customer Airline as per service standard, align with company policy, regulatory bodies, and other requirement.
- Monitor the performance for JAKIM Halal certification, CEIV program, GDP program in order to comply to the requirements.
- Planning and budgeting all resources to ensure maximization of productivity and cost efficiency.
- Develop and review current work procedures / method and processes to improve efficiency in handling of special product.
- Maintain staff discipline through proper guidance and counselling with the view of achieving high level of work productivity.
- Plan for staff training as per IATA and Airlines handling requirements.
- Ensure compliance to the internal and external requirements for training of Special Handling Unit staffs and vendors.
- Maintain close relationship with relevant Other Government Agencies, Customers, Freight Forwarders and shippers to obtain feedback on service provided and ensure smooth operational activities.
- For reconciliation of daily collection and sales report at the front -end process and engaging with agents.
- Monitor vendor performance as per SLA. To issue penalty letter on the non-conformance and verify the effectiveness of the corrective and preventive action taken.
- Engage with other departments within MABkargo and MAG in achieving target and service standard.
- Monitor the company's Integrated Management System (IMS) is implemented and maintained as per requirements of ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO45001, Halal management system and Pharma certifications and requirements.
- Continuous review of resources allocation to ensure efficient utilization.
- Monitor timely payment by customers and accurate billing for service rendered to ensure revenue is collected.
- Plan and ensure all works are in compliance with ICAO, IATA, MCAR and other regulatory bodies and to take immediate action on any breaches of the regulations to ensure total compliance.
- To promote safety awareness for the company, employees and the workplace.
- To perform the role of HALAL Executive under JAKIM Halal certification.
- Conduct inhouse training -Basic Cargo, Halal Awareness, Perishable & Pharma Handling.
Qualifications & Working Experience
- Degree in any discipline with 10 years in related experience or;
- SPM/Diploma / STPM with 15 years in related experience.
Areas of Experience
- Knowledge in handling of Live Animal, Perishable & Pharma, Courier, Postal Mail, security and DG handling.
- Knowledge in ISO 9001/14001/18001 system.
