Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup and Operation:
- Set up and operate injection moulding machines according to the specified production requirements.
- Ensure that moulds, materials, and machine settings are correctly prepared and adjusted before starting the production cycle.
- Monitor the machine parameters such as temperature, pressure, and injection speed to maintain consistency in the production of quality products.
- Production Monitoring:
- Continuously monitor the injection moulding process to ensure the machine is running smoothly and producing products as per quality standards.
- Keep track of production speed and machine performance, adjusting settings as needed to maintain optimal productivity.
- Perform visual inspections and use measuring tools to check the quality of produced components during the operation.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure that each product produced meets the required quality standards, including dimensions, appearance, and other critical features.
- Report any quality issues or defects (e.g., short shots, warping, flash, etc.) to the supervisor or maintenance team immediately.
- Conduct routine checks on injection moulds and machine parts to identify potential defects or wear.
- Material Handling:
- Load and unload raw materials and finished goods from the injection moulding machines.
- Ensure the correct materials (e.g., plastic pellets, additives) are used for production and that material waste is minimized.
- Monitor material flow during the production process to ensure consistent quality and proper material handling.
- Maintenance and Cleaning:
- Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of injection moulding machines and associated equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficient operation.
- Clean moulds after every production cycle to remove any material residue and prevent contamination or defects in future production runs.
- Assist in basic machine troubleshooting and report any machine malfunctions or maintenance needs to the Maintenance Team.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure the machine operates within established safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Follow health and safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and correct machine guarding.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and the proper disposal of waste materials.
- Production Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of the daily production output, machine settings, and material usage.
- Report production data to the supervisor to ensure that production targets are being met.
- Complete necessary forms or logs related to machine downtime, defects, or any irregularities during production.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Reporting:
- Identify and report machine issues, process anomalies, or quality defects that affect production.
- Collaborate with the production supervisor or maintenance technician to solve any operational problems.
- Assist in identifying potential causes of production inefficiencies and suggest improvements to the process.
- Teamwork and Communication:
- Work closely with other machine operators, the production team, and the maintenance department to ensure that production goals are met.
- Communicate effectively with team members to address any issues related to machine performance, material supply, or quality control.
Authorities:
- Machine Start-Up and Shutdown:
- Authority to start, stop, and shut down the injection moulding machine based on production requirements and machine status.
- Approve the initial machine setup after confirming that all settings and materials are correct.
- Adjust Machine Settings:
- Authority to adjust basic machine parameters (e.g., injection pressure, temperature, speed) during the production process to optimize output or resolve issues.
- Quality Control Monitoring:
- Authority to reject defective products and inform the supervisor if they do not meet the quality standards.
- Authority to perform initial quality checks and adjust the machine settings if necessary to correct defects or quality issues.
- Material Handling and Loading:
- Authority to load and unload raw materials into the machine, ensuring that the correct material is used for production.
- Authority to manage material usage to ensure that there is no wastage and that production continues without interruption.
- Reporting Production Issues:
- Authority to report machine malfunctions, quality issues, or other concerns to the production supervisor or maintenance department for immediate action.
- Safety Oversight:
- Authority to stop the production process or halt machine operations if there are any safety concerns or if safety procedures are not being followed.
- Ensure that PPE and safety measures are properly followed by other machine operators and staff in the production area.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Educational Requirements:
- Minimum SPM.
- Additional training or certification in Injection Moulding or Manufacturing Processes would be beneficial.
- Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in operating injection moulding machines in a manufacturing or plastics environment.
- Familiarity with machine operations, quality control, and basic troubleshooting techniques is preferred.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Machine operation skills: Knowledge of how to properly set up and operate injection moulding machines.
- Problem-solving: Ability to identify issues in the production process and take appropriate action to resolve them.
- Attention to detail: Able to monitor machine processes closely and identify any discrepancies in product quality.
- Basic technical knowledge: Understanding of machine parameters, material handling, and quality control techniques.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with the production team, maintenance staff, and supervisors.
- Safety awareness: Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to maintain a safe working environment.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
