Job Description Summary:
In this role, the candidate will be responsible for meeting factory/module output targets, while maximizing line linearity. To be successful, strong cross functional leadership is a key required skill in order to successfully influence a team of Operations Engineers. These positions work a compressed work shift (12-hour shift, 3 days working, 4 days off, 4 days working, 3 days off).
Essential Responsibilities:
Ensure a safe work environment and help build a culture where safety is the priority
Lead a team of technicians providing day-to-day operations support/coverage for all operations module as needed
Lead engineering and development activities to achieve the desired WIP turns and cycle time goals.
Coordinate daily planned/engineering activities on-shift to meet manufacturing objectives
Establish a work environment characterized by mutual trust and respect, open and honest communications, teamwork, and a passion for winning
Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering to review daily goals/priorities, run plans, and WIP movement for on time delivery.
Support Fab8’s efforts in building a world class organization, achieving manufacturing excellence and establishing a team based collaborative culture
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Facilities, Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.
Provides oversite and guidance of operational activities in ensuring productive use of manufacturing, process and equipment to meet the daily targets and operational goals - Cycle time, Throughput, Prototype success and Fabout - Shipment Plan
Supports automated assembly tools to support manufacturing processes\Supports engineering and industrial engineering for accurate and up-to-date assumptions, constraints and UPH are used in the tools capacity modeling
Drives manufacturing efficiencies, quality and productivity improvements
Work and collaborate other projects and/or assignments as needed.
Required Qualifications:
BS Degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related physical science or engineering field of study
Minimum two years of experience as an Engineer in a production control or manufacturing operations background in a semiconductor foundry
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, energetic and self-starter
Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal
Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization and experience in working with external constituencies
Strong organizational skills along with demonstrated ability to influence a Shift team of engineers, process technicians and maintenance technicians
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
Individual must be well versed in all Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
