Responsibilities:
- Assist the Kitchen Supervisor in coordinating and executing the preparation of all meals, ensuring timely and high-quality food service.
- Prepare food ingredients and menu items in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and food safety standards.
- Ensure all cooking stations are fully stocked and operational, particularly during peak service hours.
- Support the management of food inventory, including monitoring stock levels, rotating supplies, and reporting shortages or spoilage.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen appliances, equipment, workstations, and food storage areas in compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
- Perform routine checks to ensure all kitchen equipment is in proper working condition, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow, contributing to a positive and productive kitchen environment.
Requirements:
- Must be team-spirited, and capable of living and working in close-quarters for long periods of time with other crew members.
- Possess good problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Self motivated and able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
- Able to work retail hours (includes weekends and public holidays).
