1. Hardware Installation, Configuration & Maintenance
- Set up and configure desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, projectors, and peripherals (e.g., keyboards, mice, webcams).
- Install hardware upgrades and replacements in line with IT standards.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and servicing to ensure optimal equipment performance.
2. Software Installation, Configuration & Support
- Install, update, and configure institution-approved software, operating systems, and security applications.
- Troubleshoot software errors and compatibility issues.
3. Troubleshooting & Repairs
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues promptly.
- Escalate complex technical problems to higher-level IT support or vendors as required.
- Perform basic network connectivity checks for both hardware and software functionality.
4. User Support & Training
- Respond to staff and student IT-related requests in a timely manner.
- Provide basic training and user guidance on hardware and software usage.
- Ensure minimal disruption to academic and administrative operations.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications in IT support, hardware maintenance, or software administration are an advantage.
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in IT hardware and software support
- Knowledge of PC/laptop components, operating systems, and basic networking.
