JOB PURPOSE
The intern will support the Startup & Digitalisation Department in executing programs, events, and initiatives aimed at fostering startup growth, digital innovation, and ecosystem development in Selangor. This role offers exposure to project management, ecosystem building, event coordination, research, and digital economy initiatives while working closely with industry leaders and stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project and Program Support
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of startup and digitalisation-related programs, events, and initiatives.
- Support in preparing project timelines, documentation, and reports for ongoing initiatives.
- Help monitor program progress and gather feedback to improve program effectiveness.
Event Management
- Assist in organizing and running large-scale events (e.g., startup expos, digital economy conventions, and workshops).
- Provide logistical and on-ground support during events, including registration, vendor coordination, and participant engagement.
Research and Insights
- Conduct basic research on startup trends, digital tools, and ecosystem needs.
- Compile and present findings to assist in decision-making and strategic planning.
Ecosystem Engagement and Networking
- Support efforts in building relationships with startups, industry players, academia, and government agencies.
- Assist in outreach activities and maintain stakeholder databases.
Administrative and Operational Support
- Prepare reports, presentation decks, and meeting documentation.
- Assist with day-to-day departmental administrative tasks and scheduling.
- Help maintain departmental files, tools, and digital platforms for collaboration.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
1. Education : Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Digitalisation, Startups & Innovation, E-Commerce, Entrepreneurship, Event/Project Management, or related fields.
2. Technical Skills : Basic Knowledge of
- Basic understanding of startups, digital innovation, and project management concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with digital tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Trello).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good research and analytical abilities.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Contract length: 6 months
Pay: RM800.00 per month
