Key Responsibilities:
1. IT Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the organization’s IT roadmap in alignment with long-term business goals and retail growth plans.
- Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on technological capabilities, system enhancements, and emerging trends relevant to retail and eyecare integration.
- Lead the identification and implementation of digital solutions that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and business intelligence.
2. Retail Systems & Store Technology Management
- Oversee the performance and reliability of all in-store systems, including POS (Point-of-Sale), optical equipment integration, and membership platforms.
- Standardize retail technology infrastructure across all outlets to ensure consistency, compliance, and scalability.
- Provide end-to-end IT support for store openings, renovations, and relocations, including system configuration and network setup.
3. Infrastructure & Network Operations
- Manage the organization's IT infrastructure, including cloud platforms, servers, networking equipment, firewalls, and connectivity solutions across 100+ locations.
- Ensure maximum system uptime, business continuity, and optimal network performance across all retail branches and corporate offices.
4. Data Governance, Compliance & Cybersecurity
- Implement and enforce IT policies, security protocols, and compliance standards to protect sensitive personal and medical data.
- Ensure alignment with local and international data protection regulations (e.g., PDPA, GDPR).
- Lead periodic risk assessments, data security audits, and incident response strategies.
5. Enterprise Systems Oversight
- Oversee the performance and interoperability of core business systems including POS, CRM, HRMS, and finance systems.
- Manage cross-functional data integrity, system upgrades, and process automation across departments.
6. IT Support Operations & Service Management
- Establish and manage a high-performing IT support function, ensuring efficient issue resolution, user satisfaction, and service level compliance.
- Develop and monitor KPIs, service standards, and escalation protocols for internal and external support teams.
7. Vendor & Contract Management
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, software providers, and service partners.
- Oversee contract negotiations, performance tracking, and cost optimization for IT-related services and solutions.
8. Project Management & Technology Deployment
- Lead cross-functional IT initiatives including system rollouts, upgrades, and digital transformation projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered within scope, timeline, and budget while managing stakeholder expectations and risk.
9. Reporting & Budget Management
- Develop and manage the IT department’s operating and capital expenditure budgets.
- Provide regular performance and project reports to senior management, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree or MBA is an advantage.
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a retail or multi-outlet environment.
- Proven track record in retail system deployment, infrastructure management, data security, and omnichannel integration.
- Strong understanding of optical healthcare systems, POS platforms, and cloud-based enterprise systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management, vendor negotiation, and project leadership capabilities.
- Professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP, Azure/AWS) are highly desirable.
