Job Description (JD)
We are seeking an experienced Software Tester to join our team for the Banking Trade System project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software quality assurance and testing, with a focus on transaction banking products and trade finance.
Key Responsibilities:
· UAT Initiatives: Conduct initiatives related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production. Work with project managers, UAT professionals, and users to design and implement appropriate scripts/plans/reports for an application testing strategy/approach.
· Testing and Analysis: Conduct a variety of tests and analyses to ensure that systems meet or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements.
· Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders to understand business and functional requirements to develop test plans, test cases, and scripts.
· Defect Identification: Identify defects and recommend appropriate courses of action; perform root cause analyses.
· Retesting: Retest after fixes are made to ensure problems are resolved.
· Documentation: Document, evaluate, and research test results for future replication.
· Process Improvement: Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance testing strategies.
· Integration: Understand how own area integrates within IT/vendor testing to achieve objectives and convey test results.
· Problem Resolution: Resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents.
· Communication: Utilize sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information.
· Test Data Management: Maintain test data across different test environments.
· Additional Duties: Perform other duties and functions as assigned.
· Escalation: Highlight and escalate issxues that impact testing progress to ensure timely resolution.
· Critical Path Understanding: Understand interdependencies and effects on critical paths.
Requirements:
· Education: Degree in Information Technology, Business, or Finance related disciplines.
· Experience: At least 5 years of working experience in software quality assurance/software testing/Test Management.
Skills:
· Domain knowledge in internet banking, especially for transaction banking products.
· In-depth knowledge of Trade Finance business (open account, collections, letter of credit, guarantees, financing).
· Knowledge of Risk and Compliance related to Banking and Trade Finance.
· Experience in managing and executing UAT for BAU patches/enhancement/project.
· Detail-oriented, highly analytical, willing to learn, and committed.
· Ability to highlight and escalate issues impacting testing progress.
· Understanding of interdependencies and effects on critical paths.
· Self-starter with a “can-do” attitude, customer-centric mindset, highly adaptable, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-standard work.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
