Job Description (JD)
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Test Lead to oversee the testing efforts for our Bank Trade System project. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software testing within the banking sector, with a focus on trade finance and transaction banking products.
Responsibilities:
- Test Planning: Develop, document, and maintain test plans, test cases, and associated scripts.
- Strategy Development: Develop and document strategies for repeated tests to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Test Execution: Execute and evaluate test plans and test cases, ensuring thorough testing of the system.
- Analysis and Recommendations: Analyze software test results and recommend corrective actions to improve product quality.
- Troubleshooting: Perform troubleshooting and debugging of test cases to identify and resolve issues.
- Training: Train personnel in software testing methodology and best practices.
- Review: Review system requirements and test plans to ensure they meet project goals and standards.
- Monitoring: Monitor and report progress on test plans and cases, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure seamless integration and testing.
- Guidance: Lead and guide the test team to ensure test progress meets the plan. Provide support to resolve problems/issues encountered by testers during test execution.
- UAT Initiatives: Conduct initiatives related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production. Work with project managers, UAT professionals, and users to design and implement appropriate scripts/plans/report for an application testing strategy/approach.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with key stakeholders to understand business and functional requirements, and develop test plans, test cases, and scripts accordingly.
Requirements:
- Education: Degree in Information Technology, Business, or Finance related disciplines.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in software testing or a closely related field.
Skills:
· Domain knowledge in internet banking, especially for Transaction Banking products.
· In-depth knowledge of Trade Finance business (open account, collections, letter of credit, guarantees, financing).
· Knowledge of Risk and Compliance related to Banking and Trade Finance.
· Experience in leading a team and managing testing efforts.
· Excellent planning and problem-solving skills.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Preferably hands-on experience in the banking industry and project management.
· Experience in managing and executing UAT for BAU patches/enhancement/project.
· In-depth knowledge of software testing processes and methodologies.
· Service-oriented attitude and strong commitment to client satisfaction.
· Ability to consolidate action plans and report progress status.
· Capable of adapting to a new environment and working under pressure towards tight deadlines.
· Analytical, lateral thinker, and result-oriented person.
· Team player demonstrating self-initiative when necessary.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
