Job Description:
- To deliver engaging and inquiry-based Science education to Upper Primary students(Years 4–6), following the Cambridge Primary Science curriculum.
- The teacher will build foundational scientific knowledge, critical thinking skills, and enthusiasm for STEM learning to prepare students for a smooth transition to lower secondary IGCSE Science pathways.
- Plan and deliver well-structured Science lessons aligned with the Cambridge Primary Science framework.
- Cover key content areas such as life processes, materials, energy, Earthand space, and scientific inquiry.
- Integrate hands-on experiments, group activities, and real-world problem-solving to support active learning.
- Nurture scientific thinking and inquiry skills by encouraging observation, investigation, and evidence-based reasoning.
- Develop students’ scientific vocabulary and ability to communicate ideas effectively.
- Support all learners through differentiated instruction, scaffolding, and enrichment activities.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes experimentation, collaboration, and responsibility.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all science-related activities and lab sessions (if applicable).
- Promote positive behavior, curiosity, and respect for peers and the environment.
- Participate in science department meetings, curriculum reviews, and cross-subject planning initiatives.
- Attend professional development workshops to remain updated with the latest teaching strategies and Cambridge curriculum changes.
- Collaborate with peers to plan thematic weeks (e.g., Science Week), competitions, or STEM expos.
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science Education, Primary Education, or a related discipline.
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., Diploma in Education).
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience at the primary level, ideally in an international or Cambridge curriculum environment.
- Strong command of English (spoken and written).
- Proficient in delivering inquiry-based learning and using educational technology in the classroom.
