JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
1. Industrial Relations (IR)
* Handle the full spectrum of IR/ER matters including disciplinary actions, grievances, counseling, labor disputes, and termination/dismissals across workshop and operational teams.
* Conduct workplace investigations, issue show cause letters, and organize Domestic Inquiry (DI) sessions.
* Provide advice to supervisors and employees on disciplinary procedures, labor laws, and compliance with company policies.
* Assist in preparing documentation and case handling for matters referred to the Labour Department, IR Department, or Industrial Court.
* Manage and maintain accurate documentation of all IR/ER-related cases and proceedings.
2. Performance Management
* Assist in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company’s performance management framework (e.g. KPIs), especially within workshop and technical teams.
* Coordinate and manage the full performance cycle: goal setting, mid-year reviews, annual appraisals, and calibration sessions.
* Support line managers in defining clear, measurable performance goals aligned with operational priorities.
* Identify performance trends, high-potential individuals, and underperformers needing Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
* Collaborate with department heads to create and monitor Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
* Analyze performance data for insights on workforce planning, promotions, and training needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a combined IR and/or Performance Management role.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws.
- Experience in handling investigations, Domestic Inquiries, and disciplinary procedures.
- Familiarity with performance management tools and methodologies (e.g., KPIs, OKRs, PIPs).
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS/HRMS platforms is an advantage.
- Willingness to be hands-on at the ground level and travel across workshop sites, if required.
