As the Finance Data Analytics Solution Lead, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing data analytics and dashboard for reengineered finance processes under FFP. Your efforts will enhance the risk and control environment of Finance processes, making them more efficient and advancing Finance data literacy.
Background and Purpose:
Through FFP we are looking to build a sustainable growth platform by driving more consistent performance across each of our markets through modernisation of our organisational model and technology platform.
As part of this modernisation there is a need to create a Finance centre of excellence to manage and run data governance processes. Through the Future Finance Programme (FFP), the candidate will need to operationalise newly designed data quality issue management processes and ensure they are running effectively within BAU.
The role purpose is as follows:
- The Data Analytics Solution Lead will spearhead the development and implementation of advanced data analytics solutions to support strategic decision-making within Finance.
- This role is crucial in transforming financial data into actionable insights, enhancing data- driven decision-making, and improving overall financial performance through effective data visualization and reporting.
The key deliverables:
- Requirements Gathering & Customer Journey Mapping : Solicit analytics requirements and key questions which Finance leaders require to ensure finance processes and outcomes are met. Define Customer Journey and user stories to support Finance requirements.
- Data Analytics & Dashboarding Solutions: Develop and implement advanced data analytics solutions to provide deep insights into financial performance and trends and data quality outside of threshold
- Dashboard Development: Design and deploy interactive dashboards that provide real-time visibility into key financial metrics, KPIs, KRIs and KCIs.
- Data Modelling : Design reporting data model to ensure the appropriate measures, dimensions and hierarchies to support finance analytical needs.
- Data Integration: Ensure integration of various data sources into dashboards and defining data requirements. · Data Analytics Operating Model: Define the support model for running data analytics capability within Prudential Value Creation Centre. ·
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with finance leaders and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver tailored analytics and dashboarding solutions.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to finance teams on the use of data analytics tools and dashboards.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Data Strategy: Develop and execute a Finance data analytics strategy that aligns with the overall finance strategy and business objectives.
- Data Modelling: Develop data model to support finance analytical needs.
- Continuous Improvement & Maintenance: Lead the maintenance and support for deployed dashboards and reports when there are new requirements from Finance Stakeholders evolving business needs.
- Data Governance: Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security through the integration of Finance data governance practices.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of developers and analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT and other departments to ensure the successful implementation of Data Analytic solutions.
- Compliance: Ensure all analytics and reporting activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in data analytics, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Candidate Requirements:
- At least 8-10yrs experience in a Data Analytics and dashboarding roles.
- Has strong experience in utilising Business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Tableau etc.
- Has strong experience working in the Insurance Industry and Finance
- Certification or extensive Data Governance Experience in another Financial Institution.
- Operating model Implementation – Proven track record in designing and implementing operating model design.
- Has experience working with Audit, Compliance and Operational Risk.
