Job Description
Perform end-to end purchasing activity of flour additives and farm-use products from preparation of market analysis, sourcing, price evaluation, raise purchasing orders, follow up with delivery timeline, address supply, quality, service, and invoicing issues with vendors.
Propose for cost effective plans, compare prices, negotiate and maintain professional relationship with suppliers while continually sourcing for additional or alternative vendors and products.
Actively support the centralization of procurement activities to ensure all purchases are purchased via a centralized location for efficiency objectives.
Manage and evaluate vendors’ and suppliers’ performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best prices, ensure all the criteria are met according to the company’s requirements and expectation.
Work closely with various stakeholders in purchase planning and decision of flour additives and farm-use products.
Handle shipping documents and liaise with forwarding agent on custom clearance to ensure timely arrival of goods at the plant/farm.
Liaise with government departments, local & overseas suppliers, forwarders, our plant/farm personnel, etc. for clearance of imported machinery/spare parts.
Provide periodic reporting to the management on purchasing, inventory controls, and processes accordingly.
To perform any other task and assignments as directed by the Management from time to time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing/ Business Studies/Administration/Management/ and or equivalent.
- 1 – 2 years of working experience in purchasing or relevant
