About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur / within the Spa & Wellness Department in Kuala Lumpur, the Director of Spa & Wellness will take full responsibility for all aspects of the Spa and Fitness & Wellness operations. The Director of Spa & Wellness reports to the Hotel Manager.
As Director of Spa & Wellness, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Perform annual performance review on all Spa and Fitness Centre colleagues. Encouraging and coaching the development of employee potential.
To be responsible to oversee the recruitment, induction, training development, appraisal and discipline of all Spa and Fitness Centre colleagues.
Setting achievable goals for Spa and Fitness Centre colleagues, to include budget and retail goals per department, established with Spa Management Team.
Review SOP’s are continuously current and correct for all Spa and Fitness Centre colleagues.
Responsible for maintaining the highest standard of Treatment, Service and attention to detail within the Spa and Fitness Centre facility.
Strategic planning for assigned projects by organizing committees and following up with goals established on set timelines.
Develop Spa and Recreation marketing plan and its activities together with the Director of Rooms and Director of Communications and be responsible for the execution of the plan
As Director of Spa & Wellness, we expect from you:
Graduate from an accredited school with massage, body or face would be an advantage.
Minimum 5 years’ relevant job experience in similar capacity and hospitality or related industry.
Massage, body, face, manicure and pedicure certificate or license would be an advantage.
Possess technical awareness and knowledge of a wide variety of treatments particularly for the face and body.
Knowledgeable of holistic concepts that relate to the well-being of all guests in the Spa environment.
