The Credit Management Executive (SAP Master Data Specialist) is responsible for the accurate creation, maintenance, and governance of customer master data in SAP systems. The role ensures data integrity across relevant business areas, supports compliance initiatives, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to streamline processes. The specialist also plays a key role in SAP-related projects, particularly in testing and validating system changes through User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Make an Impact by:
- Create and maintain customer master records (general data, company code data, sales area data) in SAP.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of customer master data in accordance with business rules and compliance requirements.
- Handle requests for new customer creation, updates, and deactivations.
- Monitor and validate customer master data to ensure high-quality standards are met.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of customer master data processes.
- Work with cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance, Logistics, etc.) to streamline data-related workflows.
- Ensure customer data complies with internal controls, SOX, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements.
- Provide support for internal and external audits related to customer data.
- Understand the configuration of SAP modules related to customer master data (SD, FI, CRM).
- Provide user support for issues related to customer master data in SAP.
- Coordinate with SAP technical teams for data migration or system updates impacting master data.
- Participate in project teams during system upgrades, enhancements, or SAP rollouts.
- Develop or review UAT test scripts for customer master data scenarios.
- Execute test cases to validate data creation, update, and integration processes across modules (FI, SD, CRM).
- Log and document test results, identify defects, and coordinate issue resolution with technical teams.
- Support end-user validation and sign-off activities
- Provide feedback and recommendations based on UAT findings to improve system functionality and user experience.
- Generate reports on customer data for internal stakeholders.
- Analyze data trends and recommend corrective actions where needed.
- Develop and maintain documentation of procedures and guidelines for customer master data.
- Train end-users on customer master data processes and SAP transactions (e.g., XD01, XD02, XD03).
- Perform other related tasks or ad-hoc duties as assigned by the reporting manager.
Skills for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with Customer Master Data preferably with SAP certification.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA (a plus).
- Strong knowledge of SAP customer master transactions (XD01, XD02, VD01, FD01, etc.).
- Understanding of customer master data structure in SAP (general data, sales area, company code).
- Experience with UAT execution, documentation, and defect tracking.
- Experience with data governance and master data management principles.
- Deep understanding of key SAP T-Codes related to customer master.
- Familiarity with key SAP tables related to customer master data.
- Knowledge of how customer master data integrates with SD/FI/CRM/MM/MDG.
