The Role

Kyndryl is looking to hire a strategic and dynamic Associate Director of Compensation Partner for Practices and Consult to be part of our Total Rewards team. The Associate Director will play a pivotal role in evolving our compensation programs to ensure we can attract, retain, and inspire top talent in the fast-paced technology industry. This role will be both strategic and hands-on in developing transformative compensation programs and designing efficient processes to support them. Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide innovative solutions, consulting and thought leadership to HR Business Partners ("HRBPs"), acting as a subject matter expert.
  • Proactively identify compensation challenges and partner with HRBPs to address the challenges (retention, attraction, engagement, compression, competitive pay to market).
  • Design and implement compensation programs and policies that support the rewards, business and practices strategy globally.
  • Focus of this role will be on multiple aspects of compensation, including job architecture, compensation benchmarking, job evaluation strategies, rewards and recognition programs, incentive plans and pay equity strategy.
  • Monitor external trends and share market best practices, emerging global trends and recommend required changes to ensure compliance with global pay regulations.
  • Has knowledge and understanding of executive compensation elements with the ability to partner effectively with the executive compensation team to provide a seamless experience for HRBPs.
  • Collaborate with Benefits peers to bring a total rewards mindset and solutions to Kyndryl.
  • Create communications and resources to drive change and support transparent understanding of program design and processes amongst HR, managers, and the broader Kyndryl employee base.
  • Work closely with the HR Technology Team to deploy design and process changes in Workday, with the goal to simplify and maximize our use of HR technology.
  • Serve as COE lead for the global talent investment plan (promotion) process, ensuring a tight interlock with talent management team and the successful deployment of a process that supports sound talent investments


Who You Are

  • A seasoned total rewards or compensation professional who is capable of designing and conceptualizing, as well as direct experience turning ideas into reality.
  • 8-10 years of experience in compensation including compensation program design, deployment, job architecture, pay equity, reward and recognition program design, knowledge of HRIS systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field or a combination of relevant experience, education and training.
  • Excellent project management, analytical, and influencing skills.
  • Strong communication skills including writing, powerpoint design, and presenting to a variety of audiences, large and small.
  • Advanced excel knowledge, with the capacity to develop complex formulas and models to identify root causes and/or trends. Strong technical background with adequate knowledge of Compensation-specific applications.
  • Ability to work with all levels of partners, adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs, and influence to build consensus.
  • Able to work autonomously in a matrixed environment.
