1.0 Basic Function
Responsible for the supervising, coordinating and directing the activities of all Personnel engaged in the cleaning of kitchenware, utensils, crockery and cutlery in the Stewarding Section in relation to specified hygiene and sanitation standards established by the Hotel.
2.0 Responsibility and Authority
2.1 Coordinates with all other Food & Beverage sections regarding needed supplies, preparation and service.
2.2 Ensures that all kitchenware, utensils and cutlery are properly cleaned and is according to the hygiene standards set.
2.3 Trains personnel in proper handling of machinery, equipment tableware, kitchen utensils and chemicals.
2.4 Plans and schedules work of his section and personnel taking into consideration work loads and event orders.
2.5 Ensures that all machinery, equipment utensils, furniture, tableware, chemicals are in good working condition at all times to prevent unnecessary industrial accidents.
2.6 Maintains a conducive working environment and atmosphere in the section and resolves any conflict situations that may arise.
2.7 Maintains a logbook of personnel performance, complaints, problems and daily activities.
2.8 Plans, prepares the duty roster of the Stewarding personnel on a weekly basis and ensures that the manning level are realistic and at its optimum level.
2.9 Schedules preventive maintenance work and coordinates and liaises with the Engineering Department.
2.10 Initiates maintenance work orders and sanitation reports.
2.11 Conducts on the job training of any new machinery, equipment, kitchen utensils, chemicals and tableware and upgrades the skills of his immediate subordinates.
2.12 Conducts inventory check of all operating equipment.
2.13 Conducts performance review with his immediate subordinates jointly with the Executive Chef.
2.14 Assists the Executive Chef in planning and conducting training classes for the Stewarding personnel.
2.15 Liaises and coordinates with the Sous Chef on the cleanliness of the Kitchen section.
2.16 Counsels and mediates in conflict situations amongst subordinates.
2.17 Performs duties common to all supervisors and any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
