To oversee the daily operations of the bakery café, ensuring smooth workflow, exceptional customer service, efficient staff management, accurate financial tracking, and compliance with hygiene and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Daily Operations Management
- Supervise and coordinate all areas of the café including front-of-house, kitchen, and dine-in area.
- Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed, including food safety, hygiene, and service protocols.
- Prepare and submit daily reports on sales, stock levels, and operational issues to the management.
2. Staff Management
- Lead, train, and mentor new and existing café staff.
- Schedule shifts and allocate tasks to ensure adequate staffing and optimal productivity.
- Monitor staff performance and provide regular feedback and coaching.
- Resolve any staff-related conflicts or grievances professionally.
3. Customer Service
- Ensure every customer receives prompt, friendly, and professional service.
- Handle customer complaints and feedback courteously and effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for dine-in customers.
4. Sales and Financial Oversight
- Monitor daily sales and ensure accuracy in POS system records.
- Manage cash handling and daily reconciliations responsibly.
- Control operational costs including labor, ingredients, and utilities.
- Assist in achieving monthly sales and profitability targets.
5. Inventory and Supplier Coordination
- Monitor stock levels of raw materials, packaging, and supplies.
- Place orders with approved suppliers and track deliveries.
- Ensure proper storage, FIFO (first-in-first-out) practice, and minimal wastage.
- Conduct regular stock audits and keep accurate inventory records.
6. Marketing & Promotions Support
- Assist with execution of in-store promotions or seasonal campaigns.
- Collaborate with the owner/marketing team on local marketing activities.
- Gather customer feedback and suggest ideas to improve offerings or customer experience.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum SPM/STPM/Diploma (preferably in Business Management, Hospitality, or equivalent).
- At least 2 years of experience in a café, bakery, or F&B supervisory/managerial role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Basic computer literacy (POS systems, Microsoft Office).
- Knowledge or interest in bakery products and beverages is an advantage.
- Honest, responsible, presentable, and customer-focused.
- Must have valid Typhoid, Food Handlers Certificate and Vaccination Certificate (2 dose.
