Job Summary:
The BCS Supervisor (Building Cleaning Services) is responsible for managing and supervising the cleaning operations of building premises to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with health and safety standards. This role includes overseeing cleaning staff, monitoring daily tasks, inspecting cleanliness levels, and coordinating with contractors and facility management teams. We are looking for a candidate who is available to start immediately.
Job Description:
- Plan, schedule, and supervise daily cleaning activities within the building premises, including common areas, toilets, corridors, offices, and external surroundings.
- Supervise and manage cleaning staff and ensure their tasks are carried out effectively and efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections of cleaning work to ensure it meets company standards and client expectations.
- Train and guide cleaning team members on proper cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and chemical handling in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Ensure adequate supply and inventory of cleaning materials, tools, and equipment, and submit requisitions for replenishment.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning activity reports to the Project Manager.
- Address and resolve complaints or issues related to cleaning performance or hygiene promptly.
- Coordinate with external cleaning vendors or subcontractors, if applicable, to ensure service quality.
- Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including PPE usage and proper waste disposal.
- Support periodic deep cleaning or disinfection exercises as per management instructions.
- Assist in workforce planning, duty roster management, and staff attendance tracking.
- Attend site meetings and report on BCS operational performance, issues, and improvement plans.
- Ensure all equipment and machinery (e.g., scrubber dryer, vacuum cleaners, etc.) are properly used and maintained.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Project Manager, Project Director, or Management.
Job Requirement:
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in building cleaning services or facility operations.
- Certificate or Diploma in Facility Management, Hospitality, Environmental Services, or a related field is an advantage.
- Required language(s): English and Bahasa Melayu.
- Strong supervision skills with experience in managing cleaning personnel.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, hygiene standards, and safety protocols.
- Ability to perform inspections and maintain high levels of cleanliness consistently.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Willing to travel or be based at project sites as needed.
- Strong leadership skills and a hands-on attitude in resolving operational issues.
- Capable of handling documentation, reporting, and inventory records.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
