JD – Admin Coordinator
Job Summary:
This position will assist in supervising the cleaning and gardening activities, providing feedback on any maintenance work, maintaining the cleanliness and cheerfulness of the school and enforcing a safe and secure environment for students, employees and visitors through enacting the safety procedures and policies of the School. This position is designed and is required to foster proactive student/staff relationships through a genuine, intrinsic motivation to work in an enjoyable, positive and collegial school environment.
Responsibilities:
A: Student Safety
1. Supervise student activities during school hours, including arrival, dismissal, breaks, and lunchtime.
2. Help students to get to class on-time and ensure a smooth flow of traffic through the hallways.
3. Providing protective escort or supervision for victims of fights or bullying.
4. Continuous foot patrol of school sites with a focus on monitoring student behavior, ensuring students are not wandering the campus; escorting students to/from class or office; retrieving bags, backpacks or other personal belongings for students and staff; opening, unlocking and securing doors.
5. Monitor hallways, corridors, and common areas to prevent unauthorized access and maintain order.
6. Inspect and monitor the security of doors, windows and gates.
7. Conduct regular patrols of the school premises to identify and address security risks or potential hazards.
8. Patrol the school campus and areas around the school including unsupervised areas.
9. Assists in enforcing school rules and disciplinary policies by informing phase leaders in the event of any violation to promote a safe and respectful environment for all students.
10. Respond promptly to any incidents, conflicts, or emergencies that arise on school grounds.
11. Communicate effectively with school leaders, teachers and support staff to address concerns, provide updates, and coordinate activities.
12. Maintain accurate records of incidents, interventions, and student behavior for reporting and documentation purposes.
13. To involve and organize training sessions, drills, or workshops related to school safety, emergency preparedness, and crisis management.
B: Housekeeping - School Clinic, Library, Cleaning & Gardening
1. Supervise the cleaners at all building on their cleaning activities.
2. To check the cleanliness of the washroom and instruct the cleaners to do necessary follow up cleaning.
3. To ensure the main lobby will always clean and tidy at all time.
4. To design and arrange the cleaning schedule accordingly.
5. To monitor cleaners and gardener attendance and report to HR for any absence.
6. To monitor the gardener performing basic maintenance such as cutting the grass, emptying bins, managing weed control and leaf raking.
7. To ensure the gardener perform service maintenance on the gardening tools and machinery.
8. To ensure the gardener wearing the safety suit and acknowledge on the safety procedure when performing his duty.
9. To ensure the gardener maintaining the flowers and plants for the cheerfulness of the school.
C: Maintenance
1. To monitor on any faulty lamps, air-conditioner, doors and etc. and report to the maintenance team for follow up repair.
2. To ensure on the safety of items in school store (including arranging and labelling the chemical items)
3. To ensure the school store will at all-time lock.
4. To periodically check the school store.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
1. Crowd control.
2. Excellent observational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and address safety concerns proactively.
3. Working with children or adolescents in a school, camp, or youth program setting.
4. Record-keeping techniques.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly across cultural group
6. Investigation techniques and procedures.
7. Basic law enforcement and security methods and procedures.
8. Basic first aid procedures and emergency response protocols.
9. Evidence of leadership in the areas of equity, social justice, cultural relevance, and restorative practices.
ABILITY TO:
1. Think clearly and logically, use good judgment, and make rapid and appropriate decisions in emergency situations.
2. Sound judgment and decision-making, especially in high-pressure or emergency situations.
3. Have adequate physical fitness and stamina to perform duties that may require standing, walking, or patrolling for extended periods.

7. Exercise physical force when necessary in restraining and assisting in the detention of suspicious persons or suspects on school premise

Qualifications:
· High school certificate or equivalent; additional education or training in security, law enforcement, or education is preferred.
· Clear criminal background checks and/or clearance to work with minors in an educational setting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM RM2,300.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
