Job Description
We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Account Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for handling Accounts Payable (AP) activities, ensuring accurate processing in accordance with company policy, procedures, and relevant regulations. You will play an essential role in maintaining smooth financial operations and supporting management with timely updates on task progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily accounting and administrative functions
- Check and update bank statements and cash book
- Monitor petty cash and process customer cheques
- Prepare payments for local and overseas vendors
- Check and process staff expense claims
- Perform account entries and bank reconciliations, including OR and PI for forwarder transactions
- Plan and manage cash flow statements and account submissions
- Assist in account audit preparation and year-end closing
- Prepare weekly bank balance reports and draft monthly management reports
- Purchase and manage sundry items
- Visit shareholders for signature & document submissions
- Carry out any ad hoc tasks as assigned by the superior
Requirements
- Diploma or Associate Degree in Accounting or equivalent (Degree / ACCA with 1–2 years of experience preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Familiarity with Autocount Accounting System is an advantage
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- High attention to detail, good time management, and ability to work independently
- Organization and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
