We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Xiao Hong Shu Videographer & Editor to produce engaging short-form video content tailored for the Xiao Hong Shu platform. This role requires strong skills in shooting, directing, editing, and understanding the visual and storytelling styles that perform well on Chinese social platforms, especially 小红书.
Key Responsibilities:1. Pre-Production:
- Collaborate with the marketing/content team to brainstorm and storyboard video concepts.
- Research trending content styles, filters, music, and formats on Xiao Hong Shu.
- Plan and prepare shooting locations, props, and scripts based on campaign goals and client branding.
2. Videography:
- Film high-quality vertical videos optimized for mobile viewing (typically 9:16 format).
- Direct talents, influencers, or clients during the shoot to ensure engaging content.
- Capture both staged and candid shots that reflect authentic storytelling.
3. Editing & Post-Production:
- Edit videos using software such as CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Add Chinese captions (中文字幕), trending music, stickers, transitions, and effects suitable for Xiao Hong Shu’s aesthetic.
- Ensure content aligns with brand tone and Xiao Hong Shu's best practices.
4. Content Optimization:
- Work with social media team to tailor videos for maximum engagement (cover image, title hook, hashtags).
- Adapt videos for repurposing across other Chinese platforms (e.g., Douyin, WeChat Channels).
5. Project Management:
- Manage multiple video projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Ensure all content is reviewed, approved, and delivered according to the content calendar.
Requirements:
- Proven experience creating content for Xiao Hong Shu or similar platforms.
- Strong video shooting and editing skills with a creative eye for detail.
- Understanding of Chinese content culture and consumer preferences.
- Fluency in Mandarin is preferred for content creation and editing.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with creators and brands.
Bonus:
- Experience working with influencers or KOCs (Key Opinion Consumers).
- Familiarity with Xiao Hong Shu advertising and e-commerce functions.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
