Role Summary:
This role is part of the HR Enablement function, which is responsible for building horizontal capabilities such as Process Excellence, HR Technology, Reporting & Analytics, Engagement & Governance, and Operations & Shared Services. These capabilities will form the foundation of the new HR operating engine for Prudential.
The role will be responsible to collaborate with Group HR Process owners, Workday Functional Leads and Group Tech stakeholders to understand their requirements, assess the impact and implement leading Workday HCM Solutions and processes, across Prudential group and local business units.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Workday Solution landscape and a credible experience of leading End-to-End HR Technology and Transformation programs and knowledge of Experienced in Agile and Kaizen frameworks.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strong consultative partner to Group Change Control Board, Business users and Workday functional leads, to effectively plan and execute Workday Release management activities, including scheduling, testing, and deployment of Workday updates,
- Lead cutover activities across Workday Releases, Innovation Sprints, Internal Projects and HR initiatives, ensuring their successful progression from inception to completion through structured planning, build, testing and clear reporting mechanism.
- Engage with Office of the CHRO, Group Technology and cross-functional teams, to evaluate HR Technology roadmap and initiatives, to ensure that the deployment and cutover activities are aligned with the Annual Workday release Sprints.
- Collaborate with program teams, technical teams, and implementer resources to build detailed project cutover schedules covering all areas (technical, functional, and organizational change management).
- Identify and manage cutover tasks, risks, issues, and project timelines to ensure progress towards cutover completion. Field questions and escalations regarding cutover activities and work with the cutover team to resolve open items.
- Take full responsibility for ensuring that relevant Governance and Change Control processes are adhered, driving consistency and quality in documentation related to release and cutover processes.
- Provide comprehensive reporting of cutover activities, challenges, and risks, and develop risk mitigation approaches. Prepare and deliver metric reporting demonstrating progress against planned activities.
- Drive the deployment and adoption of feature releases, ensuring Business requirements are met and evaluate feasibility of system modifications and enhancements
- Stay abreast of Industry trends and advancements through Workday releases, features, and best practices, and recommending enhancements aligned to the organization needs
Skills & Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working as a Workday Functional lead or in a similar role.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking, to proactively assess and resolve day-to-day issues, and independently drive initiatives to improve Workday Solution and services.
- In-depth knowledge of overall Workday solution with relevant Workday certifications/ accreditations, and hands-on experience in implementing and optimizing Workday HR solutions from “Design to Deploy”.
- Working knowledge of overall Workday solution, with hands-on experience of implementing (from design to deploy) of at least two Workday modules; Human Capital Management (HCM), Absence, Talent Management, Compensation / Advanced Compensation management, Recruitment, Benefits, others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with team and stakeholders at all levels and across geographies and cultures.
- A commitment to continuous learning and driving improvement.
- Workday certification(s) in relevant modules is preferred, but not mandatory.
