Visual Designer

As the Visual Designer for Wanderlust + Co, you will plan and execute powerful visuals, videos and concepts, to our global audience of accessories lovers. You will assist with developing concepts from a creative brief – from a blank page, to a design idea flowing through concept to completion.
With a love for developing visual materials, you will aim to take users on a seamless brand journey across all touch points. Your focus will be to understand the voice of the brand and growing its reach – assisting with the planning, development and delivery of integrated online and offline design and marketing efforts. You have to be a highly motivated individual with an interest in fashion, photography, content creation and a desire to join a fast-growing business.
40% - Planning
- Participate in planning and developing creative direction and design concepts that meets the brand’s objectives and advance sales strategy online and offline
- Participate in creative sessions with marketing team, for project kick-offs and assist with multiple projects from concept through completion
- Work alongside Commercial team to create and develop global campaigns and launches, inclusive of concept, design, photography, videography, packaging and other visual elements with the goal of growing the brand's omnichannel positioning
- Design, trend and product research, plus relevant day-to-day administrative tasks
- Work with all team members to produce materials in line with brand's aesthetics - meeting strategy, budget and timeframe goals
40% - Execution
- Execute design activities – including photoshoots, videography, lookbooks, linesheets, eDMs, trade and press kits, website/social media content, in-store visuals, brand packaging and any other visuals in line with the brand’s direction; starting with trend research, moodboard to operational completion
- Ensure brand consistency across all design projects
- Manage and design weekly visual updates across all omnichannel mediums - including retail stores, website and latest social and e-commerce platforms (including but not limited to drop ship, wholesale etc)
- Ensure all design assets are well organized and archived in a neat manner
20% - Brand Development & Post-Mortem
- Propose adjustments and changes to brand identity and creative work product, after reviewing the results of campaigns and overall visual direction
- Understand and contribute to brand positioning across all omnichannel mediums after reviewing commercial results with the team - including retail stores, website and latest social and e-commerce platforms (including but not limited to drop ship, wholesale etc)
Qualifications Needed:
- More than 2 - 3 years experiences within a graphic design or multimedia role
- Strong software skills in Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Premier Pro, InDesign, Illustrator
- Acute sensibility with graphic design elements, ie colour, layout, composition, typography
- Strong digital and social media skills - familiar with digital publishing and software, and latest social media platforms
- Familiar with basic web-coding (HTML & CSS) will be a bonus
- Experienced with professional photography, namely product projects, and working with DSLRs
- Exceptional eye for design + detail – translating that efficiently and effectively to quality print and digital layouts

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
