Job Description
Summary of the Role:
As a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician (Technician 4), you will be responsible on setting up and troubleshooting test equipment including Test cells, Testers, Baggers, VDCS, and Conveyors to support production needs. This role involves resolving yield-related issues, performing product conversions, and tracking equipment performance using KPIV/KPOV metrics and various monitoring tools. Additionally, key responsibilities include supporting equipment upgrades and improvement projects, assists engineers in daily operations and special tasks, and ensures all activities comply with ISO standards, safety regulations, and cleanroom protocols.
Job Responsibilities and Role Accountabilities:
- Set up and troubleshoot test equipment, including Test cell, Tester, Bagger, VDCS, and Conveyor systems.
- Troubleshoot yield-related issues within the Test cell.
- Perform product conversions on test equipment to support different production needs.
- Monitor and track test equipment performance using KPIV/KPOV metrics through tools such as the KPOV database, OEE, Maintenance Logs, and the Digital PM system.
- Support the implementation and propagation of test equipment upgrade and improvement projects.
- Complete equipment checklists in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist engineers with daily operations and support special projects as needed.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and documentation requirements.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and cleanroom protocols.
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field of study.
- Atleast 5 years of technical experience in the test equipment function or a relevant field.
- Industry exposure in Electronics, Semiconduction Manufacturing setup is highly preferred.
Skills and Competency Requirements:
- Test Equipment Setup and Troubleshooting – Proficiency in setting up and maintaining Test cell, Tester, Bagger, VDCS, and Conveyor systems. Strong diagnostic and repair skills for automated test systems.
- Yield Analysis & Troubleshooting – Ability to analyze yield-related issues and perform corrective actions.
- Product Conversion on Equipment – Knowledge of equipment calibration and validation processes.
- Performance Monitoring and Data Analysis – Experience with tools and systems like, KPOV database, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Maintenance Logs and Digital Preventive Maintenance systems.
- Project Support and Implementation – Participation in equipment upgrade and improvement projects and assist with engineering change implementation and root cause analysis.
Other Skills Requirements:
- Documentation and Compliance – Accurate completion of equipment checklists and understanding of and adherence to ISO standards and cleanroom documentation protocols.
- Safety and Cleanroom Protocols – Adherence to safety procedures and cleanroom protocols.
- Problem-Solving – Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Attention to Detail – Precision in monitoring and documenting equipment status.
- Teamwork and Collaboration – Working with engineering teams on daily operations and supporting cross-functional improvement initiatives.
- Adaptability – Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
- Time Management – Managing multiple priorities such as troubleshooting, conversions, and reporting.
