Job Descriptions :
- Perform assigned woodworking tasks under the guidance of Supervisor/Leader, ensuring timely completion in line with production schedules.
- Operate woodworking machines and hand tools (e.g., panel saws, CNC machines, sanders, drills) according to established SOPs, Work Instructions and safety guidelines.
- Ensure proper material handling, cutting and assembly of wood components in compliance with production and quality requirements.
- Carry out routine equipment checks, machine setting adjustments and preventive care to maintain accuracy, productivity and product quality.
- Perform in-process inspections and quality checks, including dimensional accuracy, surface finishing and identification of defects.
- Assemble, handle, and pack finished wooden parts or crates for delivery or transfer to secondary processes, ensuring compliance with handling and packaging standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized woodworking area, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of raw materials, tools and wood waste.
- Report any abnormalities, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards immediately to Supervisor/Leader.
- Accurately complete all required documentation, records and log sheets in a timely manner.
- Support continuous improvement activities by sharing ideas and suggestions to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and improve product quality.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Follow all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) protocols to ensure a self workplace
Working hours : 8AM-8PM/8PM-8AM (ROTATIONAL SHIFT)
Working Days : 5 Days/week (Saturday OT)
Job Requirement :
- Candidate must possess Secondary School (SPM or equivalent) with vocational or technical certificate in woodworking, carpentry, furniture making or related fields is an advantage.
- 2–3 years’ experience in woodworking operations or furniture production line
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, cutting lists and assembly instructions.
- Skilled in the use of woodworking machinery and hand tools (eg. panel saw, CNC, sander, drill, nail gun).
- Accurate reading and use of measuring instruments (tape, caliper, square, gauge).
- Knowledge of wood materials, handling methods, and proper storage practices.
