Key Responsibilities
1. Tax Compliance & Filing
- Responsible for computing and ensuring the timely filing of personal and corporate tax returns.
- Partner with tax agents to make sure we fully comply with the Malaysian Income Tax Act and all other applicable laws.
- Stay current on local and international tax regulations.
2. Tax Estimates & Payments
- Support the preparation of tax estimates and amendments, while also monitoring monthly tax installments.
- Handle tax payments and refunds, and liaise with the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) to fix any tax-related issues.
3. Withholding Tax
- Ensure that all Withholding Tax is calculated accurately, documented correctly, and submitted by the deadline.
4. Tax Records & Reporting
- Ensure the accuracy and proper organization of all tax records, files, and supporting documents for internal and external audits.
- Maintain systematic organization of all documentation to ensure audit preparedness and regulatory compliance.
5. General Accounting & Financial Support
- Responsible for managing the complete set of books, which includes accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations.
- Help with all tasks related to budgeting, forecasting, and managing cash flow.
- Verify that all financial activities follow regulations, standards, and internal controls.
6. Audit & Reporting
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing all necessary documents and responding to audit questions.
- Professionally handle inquiries from clients and stakeholders.
7. Ad-Hoc Support & Research
- Assist with special projects and conduct tax research as assigned by management.
- Regularly study new tax and financial regulations to enhance efficiency and ensure that all rules are followed.
Requirements
- Professional Certificate, ACCA, CPA, or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Knowledge of Malaysian tax laws and general accounting practices.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience required; candidates with 2+ years of experience may be considered for a senior-level role.
- At least 1 year experience with UBS system or autocount.
- Ability to speak Mandarin/Chinese will be considered an added advantage due to the nature of client interactions.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in accounting software is a plus.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
