Responsibilities
- Responsible for monitoring the overall situation, implementing safety regulations, and providing sound and timely advice to staff and management to support the safe and efficient delivery of program activities at the project site.
- Must monitor every heavy transportation or any high-risk operation until completion.
- Ensure all heavy vehicles are properly inspected and documented.
- Assist safety officers in conducting regular safety training for all drivers and employees.
- Support the development of HSE policies and programs.
- Conduct proper crane, lifting equipment, and transportation equipment inspections and be capable of taking immediate action.
- Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (Safe lifting, Load is secure, Manual handling, and Environmental matters. Etc.)
- Inspect the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)
- Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
- Prepare reports on occurrences and provide information to upper management.
- Carrying out Regular Site Inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
- Keeping records of inspection findings and producing reports that suggest improvements.
- Assist in incidents and accident investigation and notify the Safety Officer.
- Follow up on any deficiencies noted during inspections, and ensure that they are
- corrected.
- To follow any other instructions or requirements related to Health, Safety, and Environment from time to time
